 2010 Rosters Have Been Set!

After a four day tryout process and over 65 student-athletes who participated, the Bulldogs have finally set their rosters.  The varsity team opens up on March 18th at 6:30 against a familiar OPS foe, Omaha South. Omaha South has again been the talk of the town as they seem to continue to rebuild and reload talent. It will be a tough task for the Bulldogs as they will have to take their young team into a predicted hostile environment to play South on their own turf. The game marks the first time a varsity soccer game will be played in the new Omaha South's Collin Stadium. Burke owns a 13-4 record over Omaha South all time; however, the 4 loses have come in the last 3 years. The JV team will play their first game on March 18th against Omaha South as well. The game will be featured just before the varsity kick-off with a start time of 4:00 pm.

Community Outreach...

The Burke Soccer team marched for babies...

On Sunday morning, April 27th, the Burke Soccer team and family took a walk to help raise money to continue reasearch on improving the health of babies.  The walk targets preventing premature infant death and disabilities.  The Bulldogs raised over $350 to support the March of Dimes.  The walk was about 2 miles in length and took about an hour to complete.  After the walk, the team reflected on how community support can lead to a better, healthier society.  On behalf of the Burke Soccer Program, we would like to thank all of the people who supported our walk.
